New website

Our new mobile-friendly website,, has been online since the end of 2015. Because it is optimized for mobile devices, the site is an attractive, user-friendly one-stop shop for all Migros transport logistics needs. No matter whether you want to move goods within Switzerland or import them from distant countries, you'll find all the information and contacts you need quickly and easily on – including reusable equipment handling, which was previously organized through a separate website,

On the new website you'll find important information and instructions for your daily work in all three operational areas. And thanks to responsive design, it's just as easy and convenient to use on your mobile devices. For instance the information and communication system (MTWeb) for monitoring international shipments, the reusable equipment information system (TGIS), where you can order and manage all types of Migros containers and palettes, or calculating the diesel surcharge, which is updated constantly and which the National division credits or charges to its transport partners depending on how the price has changed. This is supplemented by background information on FMC Logistics Transport which can be accessed from the link "FMC Logistics Transport" at the bottom. This information includes the history of Migros' logistics transport division, our promise, as part of "Generation M", to remain SBB Cargo's biggest customer in retailing, our transport commitment, a glossary containing all the important logistics and transport terminology, as well as current and older articles from our electronic customer information newsletter, TransportBulletin, which is published three times a year.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at FMC Logistics Transport for their help in producing the new website. Right from the outset, they showed total commitment and huge stamina in creating the content and designing and shaping the website, thus meeting our customers' needs effectively. In putting together the new website, the staff responsible for the content first had to prepare the core texts for the approximately 100 Web pages, select images, evaluate and check countless PDF files, collate all the important information, and work together with the heads of department to check the finalized texts and adapt these as necessary. Another team was then responsible for inserting all the texts, images and documents into the defined page structure using the content management system (CMS). This too was done outstandingly well, and the trained logistics specialists showed great skill. Thanks to their extensive involvement in the entire project, the FMC Logistics Transport team have good reason to be proud of our attractive new website.
